Karnik is the founder of Inflection Point Research and the analyst behind every report it publishes. He runs a forensic-first research process focused on India's micro, small, and mid-cap companies: businesses that are often under-covered, misunderstood, or temporarily out of favour. His work starts with governance quality, promoter conduct, and the integrity of the numbers, before any view is formed on valuation.

His approach combines long-term, quality-focused investing with Stan Weinstein's stage analysis and a detailed set of forensic accounting checks built up across a proprietary research framework. Karnik invests his own capital in the ideas he covers and discloses those holdings in every report, so his interests and his subscribers' interests stay aligned. He is a NISM-certified Research Analyst registered with SEBI (Reg. No. INH000023807).

He has been investing in Indian equities since 2018 and learned the craft in part from his father, a market participant of 40 years.
